ABOUT THE FORUM

Rationale

The forum was generally design to advocate for LGU compliance to the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01 series of 2016 on the “Revised Standards in Processing Business Permits and Licenses in all Cities and Municipalities”, promote awareness among local chief executives and other stakeholders on the importance of improving competitiveness of the LGUs through a more efficient processing of local government processes particularly permits and licenses.

The expected outputs are: application of tools and processes provided by partners in building business-friendly and competitive LGUs; appreciation of the purpose of the government’s thrust in improving country’s competitiveness; and showing Lgu best practices in the use of ICT solutions for faster and more efficient delivery of services to the public.
